All Species Day

All Species Day Parade and Spring Pageant

All Species Day is an annual celebration held in Montpelier, Vermont on the first Sunday in May.  It has been celebrated annually since 1989. It begins in Hubbard Park at Noon with an opening circle calling all species and puppet performances. The Parade leaves the park  1:oo pm and heads down Main and State Streets to the Statehouse Lawn where the festivities continue with the Birth of the Spring Goddess Pageant, Morris and Maypole dancing and much more.  Everyone comes dressed as their favorite species and joins in the parade, celebrating our interconnectedness and interdependence in the web of life.
