The Enchanted Forest in Hubbard Park, Montpelier, is a guided walk from the New Shelter to the Tower and back again. Along with the jack-o-lantern-lit trail, visitors will find the forest filled with art, music, song, and magic. At the Tower visitors will spread out on the hillside to watch a performance and then return along the path to the New Shelter. This path is uneven and it will be dark, so please be prepared. This will take about one hour. Costumes are encouraged! You may bring flashlights but please don't use them during the tour. Please leave your dogs at home.

Tickets are timed for groups leaving the New Shelter every half hour on Friday, Ocotber 18 at 4:30-7:30 pm, and Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 3:30-7:30 pm. Tickets are now unavailable (all sold out).

Prices are $7 per child, $15 per adult, or $35 for a family of four (only for a shared household raising at least one child together). No tickets are sold at the event. Get your tickets early because they sell out quickly! Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. (Price Subject to Change)

Please arrive at least 30 min prior to the entrance time on your ticket, as you will need to park and walk up to the New Shelter. There will be attendants assisting with parking.

Dress for the weather. This event is weather dependent. In the case of hard rain or lightning, we have in the past had to cancel or delay tours. In the event of a cancellation we unfortunately cannot offer refunds.

Hot foods and drinks will be available at the New Shelter entrance: on Friday from La Bonne Crêpe and on Saturday from Tamales de Catalina. Foods and hot drinks will also be available from the Just Food Hub by donation. All donations to the Just Food Hub will help support AllTogetherNow! and Hubbard Park. More info on the Just Food Hub below. ☟

This event is co-created by AllTogetherNow! and Montpelier Parks & Trees Department.

Call to Artists, Performers, Guides, &  Volunteers!

We are looking for ARTISTS who want to be a part of decorating the woods, playing music, offering an interesting scene (living and natural sculptures, singing, magical beings sitting by a fire, trolls, fairy houses etc.).

We are looking for enchanted guides to lead groups through the event and volunteers to help set up and take down.

The park is decorated with art, music, performance and song. These are non-interactive pieces, they are meant to be seen/experienced as people are slowly walking by. Art installations can be made of natural and man-made materials. This event is both in the daylight and night, so installations that are illuminated by LED lights are encouraged. The theme of the event is magic and mystery of nature. We are not seeking any Halloween, frightening art, but magical, and aesthetically beautiful pieces. This is not a place for precious art, as it will be outside for several days in the weather and we cannot guarantee the safety of the work. However, it will be seen by nearly 1,000 people and we can acknowledge your contribution publicly.

To send inquiries, ideas, or to volunteer please contact us here.
