At AllTogetherNow! Community Arts Center, and in schools, libraries and community centers, we offer creative opportunities for all people of ages and abilities.

Drawing Basics
with Janice Walrafen | MSAC Art Room | 10 Thursdays, starts April 6 | 1:00-3:00pm | Open to public Ages 18+ | $40 member/ $65 public / Call MSAC to register: 802-223-2518
Have you always wanted to draw, but not known where to begin? Do you love to draw, but need to set time aside to do it? This is a great beginner and refresher class. Most often working from life, each class introduces a different skill or lens to draw from including contour, value, color, perspective, foreshortening, portraits, proportions, composition, and more. Great foundational skill building and enjoyable time spent drawing.
Drawing Nature
with Janice Walrafen |MSAC | 10 Mondays, starts April 3 | 1:00-3:00pm | Open to public / Ages 18+ | $40 member/ $65 public / Call MSAC to register: 802-223-2518
In this class we will look closely at nature's shapes and forms, step back to see the field of pattern, light, and shadow, and explore the transformation of plants. Using pencil, pen, and charcoal, we will draw from life and photos that students bring in. Open to all abilities. For the Winter session we will be drawing indoors at MSAC.
Handbuilding with Clay
with Janice Walrafen | MSAC Art Room | 10 Mondays, starts April 3 | 3:30-5:30pm | Open to publicAges 18+ | $40 member / $65 public | Clay, glaze and firing are paid to instructor $35 per 25lbs of clay. / Call MSAC to register: 802-223-2518
This is an introductory class in the art of hand building in clay. Whether making functional pottery or sculptural pieces, we will use basic techniques such as using coils, slabs, molds, and pinch-pot methods to create pieces in accordance with individual interest. Clay is a fun, flexible material to create just about anything you can imagine. Janice has been working in clay her entire life. Her mother was a potter and Janice is a clay artist making tiles, sculptures, and vessels from slabs.
Family Clay Class
With Janice Walrafen / at AllTogetherNow! Community Arts Center / 8 Wednesdays . Starts March 22 / 4:00 - 5:15pm / Individuals and families ages 5+ / $ 200 per person includes clay, glaze and firings.
This class is open to individuals and families to come ito the clay studio and play with clay. Each week a different technique will be taught and there will be plenty of time for one's own creative ideas and projects. To register contact Janice at: jwalrafen@gmail.com
All Species Puppet and Mask Making Workshops
With Janice Walrafen / at AllTogetherNow! Community Arts Center / Saturday & Sunday - April 8 & 9/ 10am - 1pm each day /
Open to all ages - Children under 7 need to be accompanied by an adult. / Sliding scale donation $10-25 hour / Includes most materials
Let us prepare for All Species Day with making costumes and repairing puppets. Come to make your own mask costume or puppet, and/or help repair some of our beloved puppets.
