Enchanted Forest - Hallows Eve

Hubbard Park in Montpeiler becomes an Enchanted Forest for an autumnal October evening of storytelling, theatre, fairies, trolls, and more. Paths are lit with carved jack-o-lanterns, the tower is ablaze with fire,  stages of performances, storytelling, puppetry and more enchant groups who are guided along the paths by enchanting guides. This celebration marks the arrival of autumn and the beginning of our annual decent into the darkness of Winter.

This family event begins at the New Shelter with a walk up the path to a tractor wagon ride up towards the tower. Groups are met by a guide who will lead them around the paths to visit performances at stages set around the tower. It is about an hour an half event. There will be refeshments for purchase at the New Shelter entrance.

This year, Enchanted Forest is held on October 12, 2019 from 3-8 pm. Tickest are sold in advance at the Montpelier City Clerks office and Montpelier's October Farmer's Markets. This event sells out so purchase your tickets to secure your entrance time. It is organized by the Montpelier Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with AllTogetherNow! Non-profit. It has been held annually since 1997.

Additionally, this year on Sunday, October 13th, 5-8pm the park is offering a self-guided walk around the fire-lit tower and paths  lit with lit jack-o-lanterns. Donations are requested.
